We would like to invite you to our next MAP event – MAP Renaissance Gathering (Summer Party) Wednesday 29th of August, at Rio Sala (Tapas Bar & Restaurant 8pm til late. FREE ENTRY !

Please come along and enjoy an evening of entertainment, Highlights will include VJ’s, Live music, Magician, Free Tapas Buffet and drink on arrival and a fundraising skills auction.

As a member of MAP you are invited to offer your skills for auction, There is a number of ways you can do this for example in the form of a small commission of art or a workshop? Please contact Philip_Douglas@Middlesbrough.gov.uk to discuss further or to put your name forward to submit a voucher.

Blue Lounge is exclusively reserved for this Map event. No need to show your membership card on the door to get in but we will be asking you to purchase a membership card during the event if you do not already have one: only £3 students and £5 adults until Jan 2008.

There are already special benefits for Map membership and many more to come, such as concessions for major arts events, study trips, seminars, workspaces and opportunities to exhibit your work, also the chance to belong to the largest arts collective in the North East !

Arts Council Matthew established Commissions North within Arts Council England North East in 1999 after 10 years of working as an artist and project manager in the North East.
Christian Barnes – Public Arts Officer , Middlesbrough:
Christian delivers projects that involve contemporary art, artists, architects and landscape architects in the public realm
David Metcalfe – Forma – Arts and Media company:
David Metcalfe is Chief Executive of Forma Arts and Media Producers, one or Europe’s leading production agencies for high quality interdisciplinary art projects. The company works closely with contemporary artists and major international venues to produce and tour projects that combine diverse media.
